Why Beirut?
Why “Beirut”?
Our place is more than just a café. Here, you can not only taste authentic Middle Eastern cuisine, but also experience the atmosphere of the region through Persian music from the 1970s and cookbooks brought back from our travels.
Our highest reward is the trust of the most discerning guests. We are especially proud that visitors from the Gulf countries, after coming to us once, become our regular friends for the entire duration of their stay in Saint Petersburg, returning every day for lunch and dinner. Their recognition is the greatest honor for us, because in our dishes they recognize the recipes of their mothers and grandmothers.
Our approach is authenticity in every detail: our hostess and head chef has devoted more than ten years to the study and research of the cuisines and cultures of the countries of the Ottoman heritage, and spent several years in Jerusalem, learning from local residents and home cooks. She brought back not only recipes, but the soul of this cuisine — the tradition of the shared table and the harmony of flavors accompanied by lively conversation.
Today, this philosophy lives in every dish we serve. We use only whole spices and olive oil imported from the countries of the region we represent, in order to achieve an authentic taste and aroma. At the same time, we consciously support local producers: all meat and dairy products are supplied from farms in the Leningrad Region, which guarantees their freshness and high quality.
In 2026, our café celebrated its 10th anniversary. This journey has convinced us that our mission is to be a warm bridge between cultures. A place where, through the taste of traditional dishes, the coziness of an interior filled with handcrafted details, and the sound of beloved music, you can feel genuine Middle Eastern hospitality without leaving the center of Saint Petersburg.
Come for the taste. Stay for the atmosphere.
Yours, Beirut.
